Wenn dich die Musik durchströmt… / The Singing Tesla Coil

… bist du tot! Das ist wohl das mit Abstand lebensgefährlichste Musikinstrument der Welt. Ach ja, Teslaspule… was war das gleich nochmal? Ein Transformator, der hochfrequente Wechselströme mit sehr hoher Spannung erzeugt. Da kommen leicht mehrere Hunderttausend Volt zusammen.

Das Video zeigt den Teslatransformator, den Steve Ward singen ließ; nach den Angaben auf dieser Seite sind tatsächlich die entstehenden Blitze zu hören, die die Spule generiert und die in Wirklichkeit um ein Vielfaches lauter sind.

Das Ganze erinnert ein wenig an das Labor eines verrückten Wissenschaftlers – gruslig schön.
